WELCOME TO MINING FOR CHANGE SEMINARS 2012

South Africa is yet to resolve the question of how to manage her natural resources in a manner that benefits the country as a whole. This process needs open spaces where stakeholders can share ideas, openly discuss their hopes and fears and, most important of all, gather accurate and useful information on the subject. To this end, the producers of the documentary film “Mining for change – A story of South African mining”, Motjoli Resources, together with AngloGold Ashanti, are hosting “Mining For Change Seminars 2012 – Understanding South Africa’s mining future”.

These 2012 seminars are a follow-up series on last year’s six-seminar series themed “South African mining in tomorrow’s world”. Please click on archives at the top of this page, go to Mining For Change 2011, then go to archives and click on media and then speeches to see what was discussed then.

This year will see the ANC host a policy conference to try to resolve this issue once and for all. It is hoped, among other things, that these Mining For Change seminars will contribute positively to the outcome of the conference.

Seminar attendance is free. To book one of the limited seats (only 100 available) please click on rsvp@miningforchange.co.za before it’s too late.
